Phonics ESL
Designed for learning English as a second language, Fix-it Phonics is a structured course that uses the tried and tested Letterland system to teach phonics. It has four levels that help children quickly master all the English letter shapes and sounds as well as reading, writing and communication skills.

The Fix-it Phonics Teacher’s Guide contains step-by-step guidance to help you deliver your lessons effectively, including pull-out Lesson Outlines to help you structure your lessons.
Lesson Outlines
Lessons follow a consistent structure, with each step clearly outlined, including timings, instructions, suggested language, and required materials.
Student Resources
The Student books are designed to be used in the classroom, filled with engaging songs, chants, listening and talking activities. The Student Workbooks are full of activities to consolidate learning and master their writing skills.
Built-in Assessment
Built-in assessment strand featuring regular listening tests and in-depth skills assessments to pinpoint individual learning needs and track student progress over time.

Fix-it Phonics Starter Level
Age 3-4
The start of Letterland's ESL curriculum; Fix-it Phonics. Starter Level provides a great foundation in attentive listening skills, a confidence in making sounds and an introduction to basic English vocabulary for ESL learners.
Fix-it Phonics Level 1
Age 4-5
Level 1 of Letterland Fix-it Phonics, our ESL curriculum, focuses on teaching letter recognition skills, letter sounds and shapes, and high-frequency words. It also encourages developing listening and speaking skills, basic English vocabulary and oral blending and segmenting skills.
Fix-it Phonics Level 2
Age 5-7
Fix-it Phonics Level 2 builds on the letter recognition skills of the previous level as well as teaching; 26 new spelling patterns, more high-frequency words, and essential English vocabulary. The curriculum also supports further development of listening and speaking skills and oral blending and segmenting skills.
Fix-it Phonics Level 3
Age 7-8
Level 3 of Letterland's ESL curriculum Fix-it Phonics, builds on the learning in the previous levels. Teaching 20 new spelling patterns, even more high-frequency words and essential English vocabulary, Level 3 also supports further development of listening and speaking skills and oral blending and segmenting skills.
